Insomniac Games (Sunset Overdrive, Ratchet & Clank) hat das Action-Adventure Song of the Deep (ab 31,99€ bei kaufen) für PC, PlayStation 4 und Xbox One angekündigt. Das nach Metroidvania-Vorbild (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Ori and the Blind Forest, Guacamelee! etc.) gestaltete Spiel soll im Sommer 2016 als digitaler Downloadtitel und als Box-Version bei GameStop erscheinen. GameStop fungiert vielmehr als Publisher. Das Spiel soll 14,99 Dollar kosten.

In Song of the Deep geht es auf Tauchstation. Merryn sucht ihren Vater und erkundet deswegen mit ihrem U-Boot eine große, nichtlineare, interaktive Unterwasser-Welt. Das U-Boot kann auf der Reise stetig verbessert werden - so wird man später zum Beispiel einen Torpedo mit einem mechanischen Greifarm einfangen können. Auf der Reise wird man auf allerlei große und kleine Gegner treffen und kann ihnen entweder ausweichen oder sie bekämpfen.

Das sieht derart beliebig und uninteressant aus.
Mit sowas werden die nicht steinreich. Sie wollen anscheinend unabhängig agieren - was sie selbst in diesem Fall nicht sind - doch mit solchen Spielereien wird das nichts.
